The Role The Senior Financial Accountant reporting to the Financial Controller, plays a key role within the finance function, overseeing reporting, compliance, budgeting, forecasting and operational finance activities. This position drives accuracy, insight and efficiency across the firm's financial processes while guiding a small team, supporting strategic decision making, and contributing to ongoing improvement initiatives. Lead and mentor a small finance team while ensuring high service standards across the function. Deliver timely monthly results and provide meaningful analysis across departments and performance areas. Oversee statutory reporting, audit preparation and key tax obligations throughout the year. Manage budgeting and forecasting cycles, including regular variance reviews and insights. Support firm wide projects, process enhancements and technology driven improvements in reporting and efficiency. Contribute to working capital oversight, financial governance and stakeholder reporting as required. Your Profile You will be a seasoned finance professional with at least 6 years' experience within a similar accounting-based role and have strong technical grounding and a mindset geared toward improvement. You bring sharp analytical skills, confidence in complex compliance environments, and the ability to build trust across the business. Your approach is proactive, detail driven and solutions focused, with the capability to guide others while managing competing priorities with ease. Please note, this is a fully on-site role and requires you to be in the office during working days. CA/CPA qualified accountant with extensive experience in finance roles and a strong grasp of professional services environments. Big 4 audit experience would be advantageous. Passionate about refining processes, challenging outdated methods and contributing to meaningful operational improvements. Confident navigating tax, compliance and reporting requirements, particularly within partnership and trust structures. Skilled at building relationships, collaborating across teams and influencing stakeholders at all levels. Experienced in leading and developing others, with a supportive and constructive coaching style.
